Field Sales

MAJOR FUNCTION

The Field Sales / Service Tech is responsible for providing customer service and sales for the company by working with and managing the needs of existing customers.

LOCATION/SPECIFIC INFORMATION

This position will report to the R&D Team at our Elkhorn, Wisconsin site. Our laboratories comprise a broad range of chemicals and reagents that support laboratory research and discovery in our agricultural, barrier coatings, and die casting fields, as well as our manufacturing operations.

MAJOR DUTIES

  • Under the guidance of the manager, provide superior customer service and sales support to assigned customer accounts.
  • Become familiar with AMS product offerings.
  • Get to know assigned accounts, their needs & expectations, how they operate, how they use AMS product(s), and how AMS can support them in a bigger way.
  • Support AMS’s strategic plan to grow the business and customer base.
  • Working with supervisor & manager, provide support in growing the AMS footprint in assigned territory.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • Prior sales & service experience within the chemical industry is preferred.
  • A minimum of two years of materials, chemical, or food processing experience is preferred.
  • QS, ISO, CI, INM, OSHA, GAP, GMP and HACCP training is a plus.

  • Strong working knowledge of financial management in a manufacturing environment.

R&D Lab Technician at Elkhorn, WI location

MAJOR DUTIES

  • Read and understand all analysis and procedures in English, including standard operating procedures, batch protocols, and other well-defined analytical standards and procedures used in the laboratory.
  • Assist senior laboratory personnel in setting up, adjusting, and operating laboratory equipment for which the technician has been adequately trained.
  • Assist in or perform basic analytical tests from well-defined standards and procedures as assigned by a senior chemist.
  • Prepare chemical solutions according to standard formulas.
  • Exercise procedural, safety, and quality requirements as defined by company policies.
  • Understand and be able to complete laboratory raw data sheets and make accurate entries into a laboratory notebook.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • A high school diploma or associates degree in Chemistry, Life Science, or related field
  • Bachelor of Science degree preferred
  • Two years of related experience and/or training preferred
  • Minimum 1-2 years of laboratory experience

MAJOR FUNCTION

The primary purpose of this position is to contribute, develop, and enhance products and solutions for the agricultural, manufacturing, barrier coatings, food industry, and die casting industries.

MAJOR DUTIES

  • Perform mathematical calculations
  • Preparation of reagents and formulations
  • Perform laboratory experiments
  • Maintain a laboratory notebook
  • Contribute to our standard operating procedures
  • Perform method analyses and troubleshooting. Make recommendations on technical support on analytical methods.
  • Assist with the resolution of investigations, customer complaints and review, and draft batch records
  • Knowledge and experience of the Lean Six Sigma Process and continuous improvement is a plus
  • Carry out research on projects
  • Other specific tasks will be tailored to the chemist’s level of experience and abilities 11. Prepare reports and presentations to internal and external customers

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • Degree in Chemistry, Life Science, Engineering, or related field from an accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program.
  • Preferred majors: Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Life Sciences.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of laboratory experience.
